Description
Description
The Oakley Sutro Lite Photochromic cycling glasses are another new member of the Sutro family! This new model fills the gap in the current collection by adding a photochromic lens. This lens gets more or less transparent depending on the ambient light, making it perfect for cycling in changing conditions. The Lite version of the Sutro features a half-frame for a larger and better field of vision. The popular style, with a bold and versatile look, is excellent for this model as well.
This Sutro Lite model has the Clear Black Iridium Photochromic lens. Thanks to its range of 23 - 69% light transmission, it is suitable for changing conditions. At 23% it is great for riding in the sun, and at 69% it allows you to see well in very cloudy weather and shady areas. When riding in cloudy conditions, the lens is clear; in sunlight it is dark grey. This gives it a calm look both on the outside and inside. The transparency on the inside is retained even when the lens is at its darkest. It takes about 10 seconds to change from the lightest end of the spectrum to the darkest. This is ideal for bike rides in the woods, for example. The Oakley Sutro Lite Clear Black Iridium Photochromic lens is perfect for the cyclist who rides in changing conditions.
Frame technologies
The frame of the Oakley Sutro Lite Photochromic cycling glasses is made of O-Matter. This material is durable and lightweight, making the glasses sit very comfortably on your head. Oakley's High Definition Optics (HDO) has also been applied. This technology refers to the curvature of the lens, which matches the natural curve of your eye, ensuring that you always have a clear and distortion-free view. The nose pad and the ends of the arms feature Unobtainium material, which increases grip, even when you are sweating. As a result, these sports glasses sit snugly and securely on your head at all times.
Impact Protection
After decades of innovation, Oakley's performance glasses offer an incredible level of no-compromise protection against high speed and heavy impacts. The protection comes from the use of high-grade materials and Oakley's unique lens/frame design combination.

Should have purchased much earlier

Lovely for cycling and running. I already had cheaper photochromic glasses. Now an Oakley what a difference. I almost dare not say it, but these glasses in the first few weeks show that they are also worth more. The nose piece sits super. And the glasses are a delight even with running.
Pros & Cons
calm oneself down
does not feel heavy
enough breathing space
pricey
